Autumn at Jubilee Lake is one of the best times to visit, the leaves are turning and the colours are spectacular, the smell of wood fires in the air and early in the morning the sight of the mist rising off the lake is something else! Bright sunny days perfect for a lovely walk around the lake or venturing into the Wombat State Forest where the only sounds are the magnificent birdsong of our native birds.
Daylesford is a fantastic place to spend a leisurely day strolling around, browsing through the antique and speciality shops, or treating yourself to a massage or spa treatment , the possibilities here are endless with something to please everyone.

LOCAL EATERIES
The Chowder House in Hepburn is one of the best places around . A warm welcoming atmosphere greets you the moment you step through the door, full of retro knick knacks, quirky salt and pepper shakers & great music. The staff are friendly and attentive this cafe has such a happy vibe, and the daily quiz is always fun. A word of warning the food is fantastic and the serves are huge! The perfect place for a relaxed breakfast, or bowl of warming chowder on those chilly days.
The Perfect Drop is a cosy wine & food lounge serving local produce and a wide range of wines.
During Autumn/Winter you can sit around on the comfy lounges in front of the roaring fire, nibbling on taste plates and enjoying a glass of plonk!
The menu varies on a weekly basis depending on what is in season.

CAMP FIRES
If having a fire please ensure that you do not leave your fire unattended and ensure that it is out before you go to bed. We ask that you also clean up afterwards and do not leave ashes on the campsites.
